Our insecure, naive, put-upon, florist's clerk hero. Above all, he's a sweet and well-meaning guy. He is not a silly, foolish nerd. Dreams of love. Easily led.
The bleached blonde, secret-love of Seymour's life. Kind, ever-optimistic, unlucky in life - Audrey strongly believes that one day she'll find a better life.
The flower shop boss. A failure of an East Side florist. He seldom smiles but he often sweats! Firm, scheming, but with a kindness deep down.
A good-looking dentist with a black leather jacket and sadistic tendencies. He is not a leftover from Grease. Think instead of a slick pretty-boy with huge confidence, a bad temper, and the brain of a crooked salesman.
The devil on Seymour’s shoulder! A mean green mother from Outer Space with an appetite for blood, Audrey II wants to take over the world and will stop at nothing! A street-smart, funky, conniving villain.
The girls are in the middle of the action, but also guide the audience through it. Young, hip, smart; the only characters who really know what’s going on. They sometimes sing to the audience, with a secret smile that says “we know something you don’t know”.
The age suggestions are just a guide. There are many other characters in the show: customers, New Yorkers, agents, sales people, radio DJ’s, plants, and many more. We will cast these from the show’s ensemble cast.
Please note: everyone who takes part in the project will be very busy in the show and have featured moments, whether a principal character or member of the ensemble.
